…the Kobe Kronicles continues…mike brown who?

You are the WEAKEST link!
I’m not surprised that Mike Brown has been fired from the Lakers; however, I am surprised at how long he stayed. I’m twice as surprised as to why he was actually there in the first place. I mean at first, I was cool with it, but confused because if you could not do anything with LeBron James, what are you supposed to do with Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol? From the first five games, Mickey Mouse Brown (my nickname for him) would shake his head and display that flicked smile when the opponent’s offense would make shots they never should have made. The Laker’s Dynasty DIED! Even more tragic, the bringing in of Artest (sorry I am not—can’t type that crazy name change) made Bynum TOUGH up…up his game…lose his sissifiedness—that’s rare, because in Basketball either you are “soft” or you are tough.

When Bynum would screw up, lacking defense and offense and Kobe would fuss on the court, Mickey Mouse would pat him on the ears telling him, “It is okay, you showed up and out in the last two games, you are tired”. O_o…what the…..? So now people are questioning, “Wow, Dee are you TRULY a Laker’s fan?” Hell yeah I am…but if you expect me to excuse Bynum big ass for not being consistent and to excuse Mickey Mouse for being short bus slow…and excuse my favorite of all, Kobe for not stepping up then you don’t know what being a true fan is all about!!!

With Kobe personal issues and the lack of coaching from Mickey his game has been off—go ahead and say, “Does she knows his stats?” YES, I do, but I also know there is only one player and one player ever Kobe has played terrible against—felt intimidated by—and that is LeBron “Drama King” James.
Regardless, Kobe Bryant is still the best to me. No hire decision should have been made without talking with Kobe. Call me delusional, but no hiring decision would be made without any team key player; that is Michael Jordan and the Bulls, Dwyane Wade and the Heat, etc.  Yet, the Lakers’s Admin hired Mickey Mouse Brown thinking, “Hey, he can get us there with Kobe. Kobe is not LeBron”. No, Kobe is NOT LeBron…LeBron is one of the strongest in the league—inconsistent he may be—he got a ring now. That ring has more to do with DWade…it had to do with “coaching”… finding balance…“chemistry, humbling self and mutual respect for all players and especially the coach.

Now, while it would make my day to see Phil Jackson come back to my Lakers, I know that would take a major Kobe/Phil sit down and balancing of pride. Therefore, my pic for the Lakers’s coach is Jerry Sloan. Though Sloan reports he thinks Jackson is best for the job, I am sure he would take the job if offered (http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/lakers/2012/11/10/jerry-sloan-phil-jackson-mike-brown-coach-los-angeles/1696687/)...I don’t feel he is desperate; I feel he knows what a good team is and how to turn it around it.

Call me crazy, but I have to agree that Brian Shaw would have been a better fit than Mike Brown. I can’t attest to Shaw’s coaching, but I feel that he would have offered more than Mickey Mouse being that he has the diversity of playing both guard positions and an EX-Laker, gave him an advantage…I am not passing him by, I think he is tough as a coach and would fit well with the Lakers Dynasty. Of my three picks, I don’t see any of them going wrong. Who do I think leads? I think Lakers Management will try to redeem themselves and reacquire Jackson—would I be angry? Hell no; but I would love to see Brian Shaw given the chance to “shake things up”—SHAWshank redemption of the Lakers’s Dynasty. Oh well, we shall see!!!
